Gender inequality is a main issue in the film industry. its now impossible to claim ignorance that runs rife through the film industry . campaigning on the issue has been intensifying . the emphasis on accused celebrities such as Harvey weinstein and Kevin Spacey is appropriated , but brutish behaviour against women in the industry that deprives most of them from the power to produce , direct, write or film . Gender inequality is a big issue in the film industry starting with the #Metoo movement it gained major publicity because of movie director Harvey Weinstein and actor Kevin Spacey both being accused of sexual Harassment. 

Actresses like viola Davis and Meryl Streep and Emma Watson from the Harry Potter series states she has experienced sexism in that were directed by male directors , 17 times , and twice by Women of the producers I've worked with have been a woman. she always instisted in being treated equally and have generally won that equality . she believes the men at the top find it difficult to relate to a lot of the problems women face and therefore we aren't taken very seriously .

sociological studies based on sexual harassment have shown that the worst industries for harassment combine several factors : male domination in positions to power; work arrangements  that are relatively transient and young , single women in more vulnerable and low paying occupations . All three descriptors apply to the movie business . first , men clearly outnumber women four to one among    the film widows cast member states that they are indeed committed to inclusion and diversity and they actually see people of colour as us . Veronica the character emerges as resilient and very pragmatic figure , capable of showing the same ruthlessness as any of the guys in her husbands gang . she says that it was very interesting playing a character that seems too be the carer in the house hols
